We are excited to welcome you all back to the Deakin University Art Gallery with the Deakin University Contemporary Small Sculpture Award exhibition!
Organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University, the shortlisted entries of the 2021 Deakin Contemporary Small Sculpture Award are now on display at the Burwood Campus gallery until Wednesday 15 December.
The award and exhibition celebrate mastery in contemporary sculpture practice and the finalists’ displayed works provide a fascinating snapshot into the work of today’s most talented emerging and professional sculptors.
Remember: access to campus remains limited, as per Victoria’s Roadmap. Only fully vaccinated staff, students or visitors (or those with an approved exemption) may attend campus and while on campus you must always follow Deakin’s COVIDSafe plan. This year, as we mark the 11th anniversary of this annual acquisitive award, there were 42 finalists selected from a total of 313 entries. One outstanding work from these shortlisted sculptures will be awarded $10,000 and become part of the Deakin University Art Collection.
