Get set for a summer of fun with Deakin! Here’s what’s on in Warrnambool this month
Hello, sunshine! As we all look forward to more freedoms and the return of warmer weather, the air feels abuzz with excitement for the upcoming holiday season and chance to reconnect with friends and family.
We’re gearing up to launch Deakin’s Summer Program soon which, in collaboration with the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions and Study Melbourne, will offer you an exciting line-up of fun outdoor activities throughout Victoria to enjoy over the holidays.
Whether you’re looking to kick back and enjoy a night of outdoor cinema, learn beach safety skills from Victoria Surf Lifeguards, join a drum circle, or finally tick ‘learn a new sport activity’ off your bucket list, we’ve got something for everyone!
For now, here’s some of the early activities which begin this month in Warrnambool. Home to the tranquil Hopkins River and stunning coastal beaches along the Great Ocean Road, Warrnambool is fringed with bushland and brimming with wildlife – what a beautiful place to spend your summer! So take a look, stay tuned for more event news soon, and enjoy!
Remember: as per as per Victoria’s Roadmap and Deakin’s COVIDSafe plan, only fully vaccinated staff, students or visitors (or those with an approved exemption) can participate. Read more in Your vaccination rights and responsibilities: attending campus in T3 and T1/S1, 2022.
