Got a great idea for a startup? Realise your entrepreneurial dreams with a SPARK Deakin Ideation Internship
The SPARK Deakin Startup Ideation Internship is back for T1, 2022! This innovative and entrepreneurial Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program empowers you to build your entrepreneurial skill set and transform your big startup idea into reality.
Why should I apply?
You’ll get to develop entrepreneurial skills and mindsets, trial your ideas, collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds, and advance the potential impact of your work.
What does the internship involve?
You’ll participate in a series of workshops at Deakin Downtown in the Melbourne CBD, designed to equip you with the entrepreneurial skills needed to launch a successful startup. You’ll learn about the principles of design thinking, lean startups, market research, prototyping, branding, marketing, and sales. You’ll also get an opportunity to pitch your idea during the startup showcase held on the final day of the program. Learn more about the program from previous participants in the video below.
Am I eligible to apply?
All students (including Cloud Campus students) who are enrolled or enrolling in a WIL unit are strongly encouraged to apply. Students must be able to attend all workshops at Deakin Downtown in the Melbourne CBD to successfully complete the program.
It is your responsibility to ensure that taking a WIL unit contributes towards your course requirements and will not prevent you from meeting your course rules. Please speak with a Student Adviser from your faculty if you are unsure.
I’m keen! How can I join the program?
