Mingle and be merry as we kick off T3 with DUSA’s virtual OFest!
Are you new to Deakin in T3? Are you a returning student who can’t wait to immerse yourself back into uni life? Then make sure you check out OFest!
Hosted by the Deakin University Student Association (DUSA), OFest will run from 1–12 November as a series of online social activities to celebrate OWeek, get you settled into T3, and have you meeting and mingling with good company over some funky tunes and all sorts of fun activities!

Join our awww-some animal meet-and-greet
Indulge in some animal therapy as we catch up with the beautiful Delta Dog Team. You’re welcome to attend solo to meet the adorable Delta pooches but we also encourage you to introduce us to your own fluffy, feathery or scaly friend! We’ll be giving away some fun prizes too – either way, this session is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Bask in some joy
Come along to this free workshop comprising a combination of restorative yoga, guided meditation, breath work and self-appreciation exercises. This session will teach you how to engage your parasympathetic nervous system (the body’s ‘rest and restore’ system) to allow you to process and relieve any built-up stress. We’ll also go through some reflective joy and gratitude exercises so you’ll finish the session feeling calm, clear and content. Please note registrations are essential.

Learn tips and tricks for how to create origami alongside your fellow students. This session will cater to all levels of experience, plus students with advanced skills will have the opportunity to stay longer to create more challenging pieces. Get your groove on
Wind down from OFest and kickstart your weekend with a music concert you can sit back and enjoy from the comfort of home! Warrnambool singer-songwriter Gabby Steel will get you tapping your feet with her skillful command of soul, pop, jazz, and folk. We’ll also treat you to four sets of additional performances by student performers from the Deakin Voice club.
