Confirmed case of COVID-19 at Burwood Campus: information for students
Deakin has been notified that a student who attended our Burwood Campus on Monday, 27 September, between 10am and 6pm, has tested positive to COVID-19.
Based on our understanding of the student’s movements, Deakin has temporarily closed parts of buildings M and V (Library) for a deep clean. Also, a small number of close contacts have been identified and have been advised to get tested and isolate.
If you were at the Burwood Campus on Monday, 27 September, anytime between 10am and 6pm, please follow the Department of Health and Human Services advice about what to do.
We are working closely with the Department to implement the appropriate incident response. Everyone in the Deakin community is encouraged to monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and get tested immediately if any symptoms develop.
We are closely supporting our students, and we send our best wishes for a speedy recovery on behalf of the Deakin community.
If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
