Drink in the benefits of our new on‑campus cultural water fountains

Next time you walk around our Geelong Waurn Ponds or Waterfront campuses, look out for some eye-catching new water fountains that enhance both our sustainability credentials and cultural history.

Created in partnership with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners and Barwon Water, there are 23 new and 12 rebranded drinking water/bottle refill stations at the two Geelong campuses. These pieces of functional art incorporate Traditional Owner knowledge, culture and living history. The water fountains depict storytelling themes of:

The water fountains feature Aboriginal artwork created by Corrina Eccles and Billy-Jay O’Toole, who aim to educate people about their culture and love for the land through art. The educational inscriptions were developed by the area’s Traditional Owners, Wadawurrung.
