Deakin’s Costa Hall gets an amazing facelift!
Costa Hall at Deakin’s Waterfront Campus is one of Geelong’s iconic landmarks. And in exciting news, this home of live concert performances, graduations and other big events has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
The many improvements and additions include:
- modernising more than 1500 seats and other furniture settings
- installing new floor coverings
- upgrading services and amenities, including increased accessibility for all spectators, performers and presenters
- refreshing the stage area
- upgrading the audiovisual and power infrastructure equipment, and improving heating, ventilation and cooling systems
- enhancing the Box Office and bar area.
The venue is now perfectly positioned to host all current and future programs. It’s a contemporary, vibrant and visually impressive hall for Deakin University and the Geelong community.
We thank the late Frank Costa, along with his family, for their generous support over many years. Frank’s legacy will continue to live on with countless Deakin students and visitors continuing to experience memorable moments at Costa Hall.
