Three students walking across Burwood Campus

11 May 2021

It’s official! Your favourite spots on campus are …

We think Deakin’s campuses are pretty amazing. Our recent Instagram competition asking you to share your fave #MyDeakinSpot showed they have a special place in your heart too!

From lecture theatres to cafes, and scenic walks to study nooks, our campuses have plenty of places to study, collaborate, relax, recharge and socialise. Below, our competition winners share their favourite spots at Deakin!

Asees: Morgan’s Walk area, Burwood
My favourite study spot at the Deakin Burwood campus is the benches outside the DUSA building. It’s the best spot to soak up some sunshine and listen to the birds chirp while you study!

Rachana: Building LC, Burwood
The new building is one of my favourite places at uni. It’s super spacious with great infrastructure. The lecture rooms are well designed too. Very less or zero noise. Great place to study.

Anu: Gardiners Creek, Burwood
We used to do crazy photo shoots when we had short breaks at uni! It’s one of the ways we would have fun and overcome study stresses we had. This beautiful spot at Deakin always helps me to recharge my mind and body.

Rahul: Burwood Library
Deakin Library corner seat. Solace.

Our winners have each received a prize of $20 Deakin Card credit to use at any cafe, vending machine or bookshop on campus. Enjoy!

We couldn’t help but notice our Geelong and Warrnambool campuses didn’t make the winners’ list – and we know there are some amazing spots to explore and hang out at these locations. So the next time you’re on campus for classes or study, why not take some time to explore new spaces you haven’t been and find your favourite Deakin spot? Follow @DeakinLife on Instagram and send us your campus snaps to share!
