Waurn Ponds construction works and detours
From Monday 15 March, you’ll notice construction works around Building DD on our Waurn Ponds Campus. This is to rectify and improve the stormwater infrastructure surrounding the building.
Please note the following changes to access and move with caution through the area:
- There will be a large work zone at the northern (Nicol Drive North) end of the building, which will be enclosed with temporary fencing. There will be multiple pedestrian detours, but you’ll still be able to access the main northern and southern ends of Building DD. Just follow the signs!
- Excavators and other machinery will be operating in the area, and tradespeople will be moving through the work zone.
- You’ll hear intermittent noise and vibration such as safety beeping and general construction noises like banging and drilling.
- Two accessible parking spaces will be closed in Car Park 1, but alternative accessible parking is available on the lower tier.

Construction will be ongoing until mid-June. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our buildings.
