Final reminder: Echo System video recordings will no longer work in your unit sites after Thursday 4 February
In December we advised that Echo System would be decommissioned this year after Adobe’s video-streaming Flash Player software reached its End-Of-Life date.
This is a final reminder that Echo System, Deakin’s legacy class capture system, will be formally decommissioned this week on Thursday, 4 February 2021.
What does this mean for me?
The decommissioning of Echo System should have minimal impact unless you are accessing any Echo System video links from your unit sites in CloudDeakin – you will notice such video links will no longer work after Thursday.
Is there anything I need to do?
If you feel a particular Echo System video recording you access via your unit sites is important and you want to retain it, please download it before Thursday 4 February.
You can identify an Echo System recording from its URL in your browser, as the link will begin with ‘echosystem.deakin.edu.au’.
