Confined but connected: capture your lockdown experience in a piece of art and you could win $300!
Although we may be spending more time at home and physically distancing from others, we can be thankful for the many ways in which we can remain connected to our loved ones.
In the spirit of making the most of our current circumstances, DUSA is excited to announce our Confined but Connected art competition!
How are you staying connected?
While the COVID-19 situation is testing us all – particularly our Victorian peers who are living with increased lockdown restrictions – there is meaning to be discovered in challenging experiences.
Why not try expressing yourself through a creative outlet to illustrate how you are experiencing connection at this point in time? In doing so you’ll have a piece of art to remember this unprecedented year and your impressions may even help or inspire someone else who finds their experiences reflected in your work.
Tell us your story
This art competition is open to all current Deakin students.
To enter, you can submit either visual art, digital art or a written piece of work that represents your personal experience of self-isolation, with a specific focus on the theme of connection during confinement. To get you started, think about how physical distancing has impacted you or others around you to varying degrees.
Enter now for your chance to win a cash prize!
In addition to flexing your creativity, you’ll have a chance to win some cash prizes!
- First place prizes: one prize per submission category (visual, digital, written) – 3 x $300
- Runners up prizes: one prize per submission category (visual, digital, written) – 3 x $65
To enter, submit your creative piece to [email protected] by no later than 5pm on Friday 28 August.
