Feel your best this trimester with a free health check – plus you could win $100!
**Due to Stage 4 restrictions currently in place across metropolitan Melbourne, student health checks at the Burwood Campus are on hold until further notice. You can add your name to our waitlist by using the Burwood booking link and we’ll contact you once appointments are open.
Students in Geelong can continue to book in for a health check but will need to follow COVID-19 physical distancing rules as directed and wear a face mask to the appointment.**
Living with COVID-19 restrictions has made things challenging for everyone in recent months. So as Trimester 2 begins, it’s more important than ever to feel at your best. Put your health and wellbeing first – and help ensure your long-term success at uni – with a free health check.
Health checks are available to all international students, regardless of which provider you’re with for your Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) and whether you’re a new or a continuing student.
Get a quick snapshot of your overall health
Conducted on-campus at our Deakin Medical Centres, the health checks are free and completely confidential. During the 30-minute consultation with a friendly and qualified Bupa nurse, you’ll have a glucose and blood pressure check, and discuss your health and wellbeing. You’ll also receive a personal results booklet that includes health information and advice specific to your gender and age group.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve had a health check before – we encourage you to book in for another one. That way, you’ll see how you’re progressing or be able to follow up on any issues.
So what are you waiting for? Start T2 in optimum health and book your FREE appointment today. Places are available from Week 2, but they’ll fill up fast so don’t delay!
We’re still following COVID-19 rules
When coming to campus for your health check, please go straight to the Medical Centre and follow all staff instructions. Physical distancing measures will be in place.
Anyone having a health check must wear a face mask. We have limited stocks of masks, so please source and bring your own if possible.
If on the day of your appointment you’re not feeling well, you have been tested for COVID-19 or have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case, please do NOT attend.
It’s not just your health that could benefit!
