Deakin’s Trivia Night
Wednesday 27 May, 6pm
Online event via Zoom
Introducing our hosting panel
Tiarnan Cleary, your President of Deakin University’s Student Association (DUSA), will host the evening and will be joined by a special panel of presenters to get the questions rolling.
- First we’ll bring you Deakin’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Iain Martin, who is very excited to be kicking off this student initiative and will lead the first round with some brain-teasing questions to test your knowledge of Deakin.
- Next we have Deakin student and award-winning elite athlete Liz Watson, who will take the reins for the second round to quiz you about sports and general knowledge. A formidable national netballer, you may recognise Liz from the Melbourne Vixens squad or from her high-profile role as Vice Captain of the Australian Diamonds in last year’s Netball World Cup.
- Then, taking over proceedings in the third round, we’ll announce our mystery guest who will shake things up with some entertainment – so join us on the evening where all will be revealed!
What’s in it for me, you ask?
We’ve scoured the stash of goodies in our vault for some random spot prizes to give away during the evening. You’ll also share in some good laughs with good people and you might even learn a thing or two. And, if your team wins, you’ll earn plenty of kudos and bragging rights for your faculty!
Some rules, however…
The event will adopt a family-friendly tone so in the spirit of making the evening enjoyable for all, we ask that you keep the competition light and fun. Disruptive behaviours or hecklers won’t be tolerated, and remember it’s a University event so you must still comply with Deakin’s student Code of Conduct and Rights and Responsibilities throughout your attendance.
What are you waiting for? Join us for some iso-friendly fun and games and register for Deakin’s online trivia night now. Don’t delay – registrations close on Monday 25 May and places may be limited on your team due to demand within faculties. We’ll provide you the link to the event once your registration is confirmed.
See you there!
