You must pass the LANTITE to teach – join our sessions to be prepared

Are you an education student? Are you intending to complete the LANTITE this year?

The Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) is a test mandated by the Federal Government. All teacher education students must complete and pass this test in order to work in the teaching profession.

If you commenced your course from 2017 you can’t graduate from your degree without passing the LANTITE, so it’s important that you prepare accordingly.

You have four opportunities every year to take the test. The next test date window for this year is in May and registrations for this test window open on 15 April and close on 27 April. Please note that due to government regulations and restrictions in response to the novel coronavirus COVID-19 situation, this testing window will be offered by remote proctoring only to candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria and is set to end on 26 May 2020. If you miss this testing window, you can register during July to take the LANTITE during the next testing window in August 2020. Please check the LANTITE website for full details of registration and testing dates as this may have changed.

Join our information sessions to prepare you to sit the LANTITE

Academic and Peer Support staff will facilitate online Blackboard Collaborate sessions to assist in your preparation for the forthcoming LANTITE Numeracy and Literacy testing period. The first hour of each session will provide general information about LANTITE. In the second hour students will have an opportunity to share their own ideas and tips, and to work with an experienced mentor on specific numeracy and literacy questions.
