Which mentoring program is right for you?

No-one knows what it’s like to be a student better than students do. This is one of the reasons that peer mentoring – when one experienced student helps another student – is such an important part of Deakin. At Deakin, the peer mentoring programs are collectively referred to as Students Helping Students.

If you’ve ever received help from a peer mentor, you’ll know how important these programs and relationships can be. A peer mentor may be the difference between you passing and failing a subject, getting through a rough patch, or simply navigating something new and different that you’ve encountered at uni.

If you haven’t met with a peer mentor at Deakin yet, it might be difficult to know how a mentoring program can help you and which one is suitable for your needs.

As we all face new challenges in transitioning to online study, here are some common reasons why you might want help from a peer mentor. They include a corresponding online program for T1.

For more information about Deakin’s Students Helping Students programs, visit the Current Students website.
