Smoking is banned at Deakin

Did you know that there’s no smoking anywhere on campus, including across all of our grounds, buildings and carparks?

This policy, which includes electronic cigarettes and all tobacco products, is to help keep our staff and students healthy, and to make sure that everyone can enjoy a clean and pleasant time on campus.

All Victorian universities have also banned smoking, so help us do our part! If you see anyone smoking on campus, just point to a relevant sign (they’re everywhere!) and politely tell them that smoking isn’t allowed.

Smoking facts and figures

We all know smoking is bad for your health, but what’s amazing is how quickly your wellbeing starts to improve once you stop smoking.

Quitting is possible

We know that quitting isn’t an easy process, but we’re with you every step of the way.
