Set yourself up for study success with a free health check – and win a $100 voucher!
**On-campus health checks have been suspended until further notice. We will advise when they are again available.**
As the new study year kicks off, it’s vital that you’re feeling at your best. Being fit and healthy is one of the most important ways to ensure long-term success at uni, so make sure you take advantage of our on‑campus health checks.
They’re available to all international students, regardless of which provider you’re with for your Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) and whether you’re a new or a continuing student.
Health checks are free for international students
Conducted on-campus at our Deakin Medical Centres, the health check will give you a quick snapshot of your overall health.
The health checks are also free and completely confidential. During the 30-minute consultation with a friendly and qualified Bupa nurse, you’ll have a glucose and blood pressure check, and discuss your health and wellbeing. You’ll also receive a personal results booklet that includes health information and advice specific to your gender and age group.
Had a health check before or missed a previous appointment? It’s a good idea to follow things up with a second health check so you can see how you’re progressing or to follow up on any issues.
So what are you waiting for? Start your studies in 2020 in the best health possible and book your FREE appointment today. Places are available from Week 1, but they’ll fill up fast so don’t delay!
You could also be a winner!
Every student who attends a health check this year will go into the draw to win a $100 Rebel Sport voucher! We’ve got two to give away each month: one for Burwood students and one for Geelong students. All you have to do is fill in the competition form after your consultation.
