International student FAQ Deakin staff FAQ

The COVID-19 situation continues to change the way we live our lives, and while there is an easing of restrictions, we must all acknowledge we must still comply with the significant restrictions in place.

The safety and wellbeing of our community remains our top priority. We are doing as much as we can to support our students and staff, both in Australia and overseas, during this challenging time.

Given the government restrictions, and as we continue to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of classes and seminars will be delivered online for the whole of T2/S2. Current exemptions for some units will continue to apply.

There are some exceptions to this for a very small number of courses, and these students will be contacted directly. We will continue to adjust our operations as necessary and will communicate regularly with the Deakin community.

We’re working on a plan for the gradual re-introduction of on-campus delivery of practical classes and other activities that require campus facilities, but this will be subject to government advice and restrictions.

We’ll keep you up to date as these plans evolve and you’ll receive any information relevant to your units at the appropriate time.

If you suspect you may have COVID-19, please do not attend campus. Call the dedicated hotline on 1800 675 398. Triple Zero (000) should only be used for emergencies.

We have a range of FAQs below that will be updated regularly, providing you with the latest information. Please ensure you continue to monitor this page.
