Did you know that Deakin’s student accommodation isn’t just for residents who live on campus during trimester? We also offer short‑stays in fully furnished self-contained rooms on all of our campuses – whether you just need a bed for the night, you’re planning a mini-break or you’ve got family visiting for a few weeks and want them close by.
So if you’re keen to avoid the hassle of searching through hotel or Airbnb listings, check out some awesome stress-free alternatives!
Where can I stay?
Got a city trip planned or an event to attend? With over 1100 rooms, we can cater to groups of any size in various configurations from October to February, or solo travellers all year-round. Our rooms are close to all campus facilities, and you’ll also enjoy access to our state-of-the-art meeting rooms and recreation facilities.
Geelong Waurn Ponds and Waterfront
Heading down the Great Ocean Road or have a family catch-up in Geelong? Between November and February, we offer accommodation in the heart of the Geelong CBD, as well as on our beautiful Waurn Ponds Campus, where you can use the onsite gym, free Wi-Fi and other facilities.
We take bookings all year-round, so families, couples or solo travellers can enjoy the beautiful surrounds of Warrnambool.
How is short-stay accommodation different to a hotel?
We don’t offer room service or wake-up calls but we provide all bedding and linen, and cleaning is included.
Full payment must be made at the time of booking, but if you need to cancel and let us know 72 hours before check-in, you’ll get a full refund.
How much does it cost?
Rates vary, depending on the location, type of room and length of stay. Check out accommodation on each campus for specific information.
How do I book?
