Are you sick of studying in your usual haunts or need a change of scenery to get those academic juices flowing? Why not check out our newest and most unusual learning space – a Melbourne tram!

Located outside Building H, opposite Building BC, the tram has been converted into a space for people to engage, connect and work in a relaxed environment. So head there to read, study or relax from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

A piece of Melbourne’s cultural history, this is the first of the iconic ‘art trams’ to be rehomed. In a lovely piece of synchronicity, our tram’s artwork was created in 1992 by Terry Matassoni, a former Deakin lecturer and student. You can even find some of Terry’s artworks in the University Art Collection.

Our gallery below showcases the lovely space on offer.
