Living on campus is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Deakin experience.
Have you been thinking about applying to live on Res but aren’t sure if it’s for you? We think you’ll love being part of a supportive student community that gives you the perfect balance of study and social activities – but understand that it might be a bit daunting initially.
That’s why we’re offering you the opportunity to live on Res in Trimester 3 2019 without having to commit to a full 12 months. You can sign a T3-only lease while you test the waters and see if you’re happy to make a Deakin residence your home for 2020!
T3 is the only time we offer this kind of short-term lease, which runs from October 2019 to February 2020.
Depending on availability, you have the choice of a variety of accommodation options, including:
- single-gender apartments
- designated quiet apartments
- mature-age residences
- designated postgraduate apartments
- apartments designated to specific courses.
There’s no bond to pay – you just pay a month in advance for the duration of your lease or you can pay the full trimester upfront.
You must be studying full-time to be eligible to live at Melbourne Burwood, Geelong Waurn Ponds and Geelong Waterfront campuses. Our Warrnambool Campus accepts students studying part-time and online.
Most of the other conditions are the same as for a full 12-month lease, so read the Residents Handbook to get the rundown on Resi life.
You can also find out about the top reasons to live on campus and learn how we promote a safe, respectful and nurturing environment for all our residents.
