Brooke Stratton is heading to the Commonwealth Games!

In exciting news, Deakin student and long jumper Brooke Stratton will be heading off to the Commonwealth Games in April!

Brooke recently qualified 1st at the Australian Championships and Commonwealth Games selection trials and will join the Australian Commonwealth Games team. The Games will be held on the Gold Coast from Wednesday 4 April 2018 – Sunday 15 April 2018.

In 2016, Brooke finished 7th at the Olympic Games in Rio and in 2017, she finished 6th at the IAAF World Athletics Championships and 3rd at the London Diamond League. 

Brooke’s short term goal is to score a medal at the Commonwealth Games and then to compete again at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Good luck Brooke!
