We’re proud of Deakin’s culture and continue to nurture its development as one that values diversity, enables access and promotes inclusion.
Thursday 8 March is International Women’s Day, a celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Women make up 52 per cent of Deakin’s academic staff and 67 per cent of Deakin’s professional staff and contribute with enthusiasm, intelligence and dedication to every aspect of Deakin life.
You’re invited to celebrate with us at one of our campus-based events on Thursday 8 March and Thursday 15 March.
Our International Women’s Day events will launch the next chapter of our Deakin Women project, a photography exhibition by Donna Squire and Kris Pechotsch highlighting Deakin women and their unique contributions to the University and their communities. Come and view the images, hear the stories of some of the women featured, and enjoy morning tea and networking.
