We’ve all been faced with the fact that life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies.

Sometimes bad things happen, and sometimes we don’t feel like we have the resources to cope. External factors such as study, family and work commitments, coupled with internal causes such as poor physical health and negative thinking can result in significant stress and mental health issues. Just remember, by simply talking to someone about what’s going on, our brain can start considering new ways of moving forward and coping with the stresses life inevitably brings.

Looking after your mental health is just as important as caring for your physical health and should be a part of everyday life. To promote and support this, Deakin is hosting Mental Health Matters Week from July 24-28, with Mind Matters Expos running at each campus during the week. Take the first step towards a more productive and fulfilling life by joining us at a Mind Matter Expo near you.
