at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus

New purpose-built immersive learning facility

The Deakin Imaginarium is a cutting-edge interactive learning precinct designed to create new opportunities for innovation, collaboration, exploration and discovery. Located at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus, the precinct brings together creativity, digital innovation and world-class teaching methodologies to create immersive learning experiences that engage and inspire. Students learn in collaborative new ways through the ability to experience concepts, locations and global topics otherwise inaccessible through classroom learning.

The precinct includes a circular theatre to showcase immersive 360 experiences; a circular think tank for collaboration, deliberation and problem-solving; and a flexible learning and event space

The Deakin Imaginarium is intended for use across a wide range of courses in the Faculty, including journalism courses, criminology, and to give trainee teachers experience of classrooms, before they head out into the professional world.
