I was chosen to do an internship in Morocco. AMEJE (Australia-Middle East Journalism Exchange) and CAAR (Council for Australia-Arab Relations), together with Deakin University, sponsored and organised a 16-day tour to the wonderful sights of North-West Africa. I learnt to think on my feet in an unfamiliar environment and seized moments where I could put my Arabic to use.
What I love most about Deakin: The friendships I’ve made in an environment that welcomes people from all backgrounds and walks of life.
