In the final year of the Bachelor of Health and Physical Education, 4th year students become mentors for students beginning the degree. Not only does this result in a smooth transition into university life and pre-service teaching for the 1st years, but it also consolidates within ourselves as 4th years how far we have come, and how much we are actually prepared for life after university. It helps us to realise the value of what we have learnt and share that with our fellow pre-service teachers, which I think is a pretty special experience.
