I was unsure of what I would get out of my Bachelor degree when I enrolled at Deakin but I am incredibly thankful that Deakin had so many opportunities for me to undertake so I could find what I was most passionate about. All three of my Deakin Abroad trips have definitely been highlights of my university experience but I am also so thankful for the flexibility of the units and majors in my Bachelor where I found what I was most interested in. I always liked the idea of being a journalist but after my first year I also found interests in other areas after choosing International Relations and Middle East Studies electives. I decided I wanted to major in all three of these areas. I also picked up Arabic and am now on my way to completing my Diploma of Arabic Language.
