The Master of Applied Learning and Teaching provided a range of immersion activities in schools which honed and developed my teaching pedagogy and shaped my teaching philosophies. These immersions enabled me to plan, teach and reflect on lessons taught at a much deeper level than what was possible during teaching rounds. There have been so many ‘proudest moments’ in the past two years. From completing a rigorous and intense Masters degree with a young family (my second child was born half way through the course) through to receiving VIT registration, Graduation day and most of all obtaining a teaching contract teaching a language which I have grown up speaking and provides me with an opportunity to share Italian language and culture with my students every day is a rewarding experience.
