Our PhD student on the first place of Microsoft Sustainability Hackathon

On Thursday 10^th March 2022, our PhD student Sunita Rani participated in Deakin University’s first-ever Sustainability Virtual Hackathon, sponsored by Microsoft.  

Each team was given one of three sustainability challenges including Fast Fashion, Overfishing and Renewable Energy. Each challenge should be solved with only 6 hours to prepare a tech-based solution, a prototype, and a presentation. She worked with her team on “Renewable energy”  and got the award as a member of the Glod Team – First Place!
