Meet our new CRADLE Honorary Appointments

We are pleased to announce three new honorary appointments to CRADLE. Dr Karen Gravett has been appointed an honorary associate professor and Dr Mollie Dollinger and Dr Lasse X Jensen have been appointed honorary fellows. Please join us in congratulating them on their appointments.
Honorary Associate Professor: Dr Karen Gravett
Karen Gravett was appointed an Honorary Associate Professor in 2023. Dr Gravett is an Associate Professor of Higher Education with the University of Surrey.
Dr Gravett focuses on the theory-practice of learning and teaching in higher education. Dr Gravett is Co-Director of the Language, Literacies and Learning Research Group and is on the editorial board for Learning, Media and Technology and Teaching in Higher Education.
Karen’s Research with CRADLE
Karen is involved in a wide range of research with CRADLE. She is working with Professor Rola Ajjawi on student and staff belonging. With Professor Margaret Bearman Karen is looking at staff belonging. Meanwhile authentic assessment is an important area where Karen is collaborating with all of us at CRADLE.

Honorary Fellow: Professor Mollie Dollinger
Professor Mollie Dollinger was appointed Honorary Fellow in early 2024. She is the Director of Innovation and the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (iSoLT) at Curtin University’s Faculty of Health Sciences.
Professor Dollinger’s research focuses on improving equity and inclusion for university students, often drawing upon participatory design and co-design approaches. Her current projects with CRADLE span topics such as inclusive assessment, contract cheating, and student belongingness.
Mollie’s Research with CRADLE
Mollie has three ongoing research projects with CRADLE focusing on student employability and equity; inclusive assessment; and co-design:
- Australian Collaborative Education Network Grant (ACEN) investigating inclusive assessment in the health professions with CRADLE’s Dr Joanna Tai and Professor Lisa McKenna of La Trobe University.
- Upcoming Special Issue on Contract Cheating in Assessment & Evaluation in Higher Education with CRADLE Co-Director Professor Phill Dawson.
- Higher Education Participation and Partnership Program (HEPPP) funded project exploring student belongingness, led by Professor Rola Ajjawi, with Professor Margaret Bearman and Dr Joanna Tai.

Honorary Fellow: Dr Lasse X Jensen
Lasse Jensen was made an Honorary Fellow in late 2023. Dr Jensen is an education researcher and graduated cotutelle from CRADLE and the University of Copenhagen in 2023.
Dr Jensen is primarily working on the NNF programme Partnership for the Education of Health Professionals (PEP). PEP is a collaborative educational research and capacity development project bringing together nursing and medical colleges in India, Kenya, and Denmark. Dr Jensen’s research focuses on digital education; higher education, feedback; and health professions education in low-income settings.
Lasse’s Research with CRADLE
Lasse is continuing to work on various research with his PhD supervisors CRADLE Co-Director David Boud and Professor Margaret Bearman. Margaret is also now involved in Lasse’s PEP project with the University of Copenhagen.
