Feedback for Learning Webinar – Thursday, 30 November 2017
21 November 2017
Are you interested in the current state of assessment feedback, and how to develop and support effective feedback designs? If so, the Feedback for Learning project has the webinar for you! Join CRADLE Associate Director A/Prof. Phillip Dawson and Monash University’s A/Prof. Michael Henderson online on Thursday 30 November as they explore the key challenges for effective feedback, and the underlying conditions for success.
This concise, 45-minute webinar will discuss findings and practice implications arising from a large-scale, multi-institutional study conducted by the Feedback for Learning: Closing the Assessment Loop project team. Phill and Michael will unpack current educator and student experiences of feedback, and discuss strategies to develop and support effective feedback designs. While assessment feedback regularly receives low course satisfaction ratings in student surveys, data also suggest that there are pockets of excellence in feedback practice across Australian higher education. This workshop will explore what these teaching teams are doing that is working, and what is enabling their successes.
