Awards success for CRADLE PhD candidate!

Congratulations to CRADLE PhD candidate Sarah Lambert, who was highly commended for her poster and received the runner-up poster award – as voted by conference delegates – at the recent Enabling Excellence through Equity Conference 2019 at the University of Wollongong.

The award recognises Sarah’s outstanding contribution to the literature through her poster, ‘Six critical dimensions for widening online participation: a conceptual model‘. The poster introduces a new conceptual model to guide the design of online and blended courses for diverse equity learners, in response to criticisms that current models for online blended learning do not reflect the experiences of diverse learners, and builds on the work of Sarah’s paper ‘Do MOOCs contribute to student equity and social inclusion? A systematic review 2014-2018‘ (now available online via gold open access Open access logo - orange open padlock).

The Enabling Excellence through Equity Conference was this year hosted by Equity Practitioners in Higher Education in Australasia (EPHEA) in partnership with National Association of Enabling Educators in Australia (NAEEA). This combined educational conference brought together equity practitioners from across Australia and New Zealand to share knowledge, successes and challenges, and to celebrate the achievements of staff and students who have leveraged their experience to achieve excellence.

Well done Sarah!
