Accolades and achievements for CRADLE!

CRADLE is delighted to announce that several of our researchers have recently been recognised for their outstanding contributions to higher education research and teaching – including the bestowal of Deakin’s highest honour.

Portrait photograph of Professor David BoudCRADLE’s Director, Professor David Boud, was announced as a 2018 recipient of the title of Alfred Deakin Professor, which is the most prestigious honour that Deakin University can bestow on its academic staff. David was recognised as a “galvanising presence at Deakin” for his outstanding and sustained contribution to furthering the University’s capability in assessment and feedback.

CRADLE’s Associate Director, Associate Professor Phillip Dawson, and CRADLE Fellow Associate Professor Wendy Sutherland-Smith were announced as two recipients of Deakin’s 2018 Awards for Teaching Excellence at the annual Vice-Chancellor’s Awards ceremony.

Phill and Wendy received Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Learning for their work in developing contract cheating awareness and detection strategies. This year’s award recipients received digital credentials to allow them to share their success within their professional networks online – check out Phill‘s and Wendy‘s credentials.
