Acclaim for CRADLE researchers

Congratulations to CRADLE’s A/Prof. Rola Ajjawi and Director Prof. David Boud, who have this month been named as field-leading Australian researchers in The Australian‘s 2020 Research magazine. David was also recognised as one of nine world-leading Australian-based researchers, making him the top higher education researcher globally for the second year running!

Rola was recognised as leading the national field of science and engineering education, while David was recognised as leading the field nationally (as well as internationally) in higher education research. This standing recognises both volume and quality of work, and is calculated using data, primarily from Google Scholar, on number of citations for papers published in a field’s top 20 journals over the last five years.

As the leading international researcher in higher education, David has the highest number of citations from papers published in the last five years in the top 20 higher education journals – a remarkable achievement.

In addition, Deakin University was recognised as Australia’s leading institution for higher education research.
