Dr. Aaron Schultz
Senior Lecturer in Biological Science. Faculty of Sci Eng & Built Env.
Aaron Schultz is a research fellow at Deakin University and his research focuses on freshwater fish physiology and toxicology. Currently his research is trying to address the impacts and behaviour of new materials such as nanoparticles on freshwater ecosystems.
He works in a research laboratory designing and conducting experiments and supervising student researchers. Aaron’s current research involves understanding the effects and toxicity of chemicals on organisms such as zebra fish embryos and assessing their ecological threats. He explains the importance of understanding science and the scientific method, such as the use of controls in experimental testing to enable students to better appreciate the real-world applications in industry or the environment.
