NOWSA Conference

The 2021 NOWSA conference is coming up and will be taking place from Monday 29 November to Thursday 2 December! Any current students and recent graduates who identify as women or non-binary are welcome to attend.

The conference provides an opportunity for students to engage with political, economic, social, and cultural issues that affect women and allows students to share resources, skills, and knowledge. The aim of the conference is to foster a network of support for passionate women and non-binary students who want to be leaders for their student community. Attendees will have the opportunity to work together via online workshops to develop strategies to improve the experiences of young women in Australia.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet other passionate student leaders and exchange knowledge on how to improve student life on and off campus. The first 100 students that register get a thank you package which includes a NOWSA tote bag, stickers and snacks for you to enjoy. Plus, all ticket proceeds will be going towards the charity Support the Girls, so you’ll get to support a great cause whilst also doing something great for yourself!

You can attend the conference entirely online or come along to one of our in-person hubs on the Burwood or Geelong campuses. Whether you are involved in a club or an elected position or just want to work on improving your skills, we can’t wait to see you there!
