2014 Finalists

Hi All Topshots  Finalists

Topshots opened last night with your works as part of the inaugural exhibition. Thank you for entering the competition and making the show fabulous.

Three winners were announced:

1st Prize: Sonya Saffo from Our Lady of Mercy College for her work ‘Dust Photography
2nd Prize: James Ireland from Werribee Secondary College for his work ‘Family Portrait
3rd Prize: Rachael Beardall from Damascus College for her work ‘The Catalyst

Five Highly Commended awards go to:

Lina Abduljabbar from Pascoe Vale Girls Secondary College, ‘Bright path’
Ellen Holly, from Methodist Ladies College, ‘Frozen Beach’
Laura Henderson, ‘Take flight’, Boort District School
Ellen Brouwer from Somerville Secondary College, ‘Hope’
Rex McMillan, from Dromana Secondary College, ‘Tane’

The show will be ongoing till 4 January 2015 so there’s plenty of time to bring friends and family through and after that date we will post your archival print back to you.

Your collective works create a wonderful vibrant exhibition with several themes emerging making the job of judging very difficult with hours of deliberation and discussion. Please be assured that whether you won or didn’t is not as important as your practice of photography continuing!
