Internships in the PhD – supporting your career goals

Did you know that an internship or placement can be included in your PhD to support your career goals?  A placement can provide invaluable industry/business experience, help to establish networks, and create possible future employment opportunities.

Many placements are offered through the APR INTERN program, which offers funding for students and their placement host.  Working at the nexus between industry and academia, APR Intern is a not-for-profit program, open to all universities and industry sectors including small-to-medium and large enterprise, and government agencies.

It is also possible to find other placement opportunities that will be recognised by Deakin.  Both industry and academia are set to benefit from placements – businesses will have access to specialist research expertise, while students gain invaluable experience in an industry setting.

More details on PhD placements, the benefits, rules and how to apply, are available HERE.
