Researcher Training

Deakin Research Training programs and workshops for HDR students have now been scheduled for 2018. Workshops are held on different campuses and in some cases you can join remotely via Virtual Meeting Point (VMP).  Scheduling details are on the Deakin Research website HERE.

For new students, the Research Induction workshop is a compulsory, university-wide induction program, introducing the steps involved in candidature, Deakin’s research profile, facts, figures and important information, an introduction to conducting research, and the skills you will need for finding, managing, monitoring and organising information from the literature and other sources. Students must also successfully complete the online quiz.

Other workshops include: Research Integrity (compulsory for new students), Confirmation 1 & 2, and Reaching the End/Reaching Out.

Deakin Library runs an excellent series of training programs to help you develop and hone research skills – find out about Literature Reviews, Endnote, your publishing plan and more.
