Important changes in this release:

Wireless LAN Standards Update 08/2023

• Updated section on WAP labelling
• Added the AIR-MNT-ART1 bracket for the external bundles 3 and 4 containing the 9124’s WAP models.
• Added Wireless survey types.

Wireless LAN Standards Update 08/2022

• Updated minimal signal strengths and utilizing the approved latest wireless technology IEEE 802.11 a/g/n/ac, ax.
• Introduces RTLS  considerations and WAP placement parameters for High Density installation locations requiring Real Time Location Services, Location, or Occupancy Analytics.
• Updated the Standards parts Appendix B to include the new 9136 and 9130 waps and antennae.
• Updated specifications and service offering expectations  for each types of areas as classified depending on type of access required such as High Density. Medium Density, Standard Density and Outdoor Areas.

Cable Standards Update 08/2022

• Updated reference to Australian standards
• Product branding moved to approved hardware appendix
• Introduction of fibre path requirements depending on building use cases.
• Reinforce the concept of no cables passing between floors with dedicated comms room per level.

AVNS+ENG+PoC++-+Yamasaki+10Gbp

• The Yamasaki 10G SFP (S+10G/LR) compact optical transceiver module has been approved by ARC for use in all 9300 Access layer switches up-links between Access and Gateway.

ICT NW Standards – Wireless LAN:2018-06

Section 6 Performance Standards.

• Added the IEEE 802.11ac protocol.
• Added multi-level car park to standard density deployment. To ensure any new multi-level carparks built have wireless provisioned.
• Added outdoor carparks to outdoor areas. To ensure any new outdoor carparks built have wireless provisioned.
• Changed required signal level in outdoor areas from -70 dB to -67 dB. Bring designated outdoor coverage areas in line with standard density locations.

Section 7.1 Internal Deployment

• Specified that internal antenna WAP’s be ceiling mounted. More closely define installation methods.

Section 7.3 Standard Outdoor

• Added full part number for IW3702-2E-Z-k9 V03 access point. Weatherproof WAP for outdoor deployments.

Section 8.1 WAP Installation

• Updated part numbers from 3702 to 2802 WAP’s.

Section 13 Appendix B

• Matched WAP part numbers and antenna types together. Reduce confusion when ordering antennas for specific WAP’s.
