ASIL is the main forum for the ionic liquid research community in the Australasian region. It includes speakers from world-leading local and international institutions discussing a diverse range of topics with the aim of encouraging idea exchange and collaboration in ionic liquid research. ASIL 8 will be held from 21-23 May 2018 at Deakin University’s city centre ‘Deakin Downtown’ located in the CBD of one of the world’s most liveable cities. The organising committee cordially invitesyou to present your recent work at this upcoming event. We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne. At this meeting the global character of ionic liquids research from the fundamental and applied point of view will be highlighted and includes:

  • Computational simulation of properties and processes in ionic liquids
  • Energy storage and generation applications

  • Fundamentals, preparation and applications in ionic liquids
  • Emerging technologies

The program features plenary lectures, invited talks and oral presentations, as well as burster sessions and poster presentations. There will also be many opportunities for networking and exchange of ideas, including a conference dinner not to be missed.
