Cultural Historical and Activity Research reading group

The Cultural Historical & Activity Research reading group meets monthly to discuss a distributed paper from the disciplines that have arisen from the work of Vygotsky: Cultural Historical, Socio-cultural, and Activity Theories.

We meet via Zoom at a time that is convenient to the authors of the paper.

Members of the group are mainly Australian but also join from across the world (New Zealand, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, at our last meeting). I also distribute other relevant news, in particular relating to our annual Summer School, ISCAR and AARE SAT SIG.

Forthcoming papers for discussion (all will have the authors attending):

Thursday 10th September, 4pm: Andy Blunden’s (2020). The Unit of Analysis and Germ Cell in Hegel, Marx and Vygotsky

Tuesday 29th September, 9am: Anna Stetsenko’s (2020). Hope, political imagination, and agency in Marxism and beyond

Wednesday 9th December, 4pm: Peter Jones & Chik Collins (2016). ‘Activity Theory’ meets austerity – or does it?

If you wish to be on the distribution list email me.
