It also draws on the <\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW139503494 BCX0\">expertise<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW139503494 BCX0\"> of <\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun MacChromeBold SCXW139503494 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW139503494 BCX0\">CO.AS.IT. It is a poignant reminder that every community is built on a mosaic of lived experiences \u2013 each one contributing to a shared cultural narrative.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Engage with memory and community<\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Deakin Library is inviting the community to participate in two creative programs that celebrate the everyday moments, expressions, and rituals that shape our lives. These programs \u2013 <\/span><em>Recipes That Remain<\/em>\u00a0<span data-contrast=\"auto\">and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><em>Words That Stay<\/em> <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2013 offer both in-person and online opportunities to reflect, connect, and contribute.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Food is at the heart of many cultures and communities. It\u2019s how we connect, celebrate, and remember. The <\/span><em>Recipes <\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><em>That Remain<\/em>\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">program invites students and staff to share a recipe that holds personal meaning, whether it\u2019s a dish passed down through generations or a go-to meal for friends and family. Visitors can get a recipe card from the gallery space<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">write their recipe on the card<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">leave it in on a shelf in the kitchen, adjacent to the gallery space, for others to read and enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The <\/span><em>Words That Stay<\/em><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0program invites the Deakin community to share the quirky, humorous, and memorable expressions passed down through families and friends online. These sayings are often tied to specific moments in time, conversations around the dinner table, advice from grandparents, or inside jokes that live on.
