It provides details such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">What content was used (e.g. title, author, source)<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Which units or subjects it was used in<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Number of students and teaching staff with access to the content<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">If there are incidental artworks being used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">The data helps the Copyright Agency calculate fair payment to copyright holders (like authors and publishers) for the educational use of their work. At Deakin, this data is managed through the University\u2019s Reading Lists platform.<\/p>\n<h2 data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">What does this mean for you?<\/h2>\n<p data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Deakin Library will manage the reporting process, so this should not significantly impact resource requests or access. However, this is a timely reminder that to help the University meet its legal obligations, all copyrighted content (e.g. scanned chapters, articles, or web resources) must be shared with students only via the <a href=\"https:\/\/deakin.libguides.com\/reading-lists\">official reading lists platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Using the reading lists system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Ensures materials are copyright-compliant<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Captures required data for EUS reporting<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Provides students with a consistent experience across their units regarding their readings<\/li>\n<li data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Provides students with easy access to their learning resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-prosemirror-content-type=\"node\" data-prosemirror-node-name=\"paragraph\" data-prosemirror-node-block=\"true\">Please avoid uploading PDFs directly to CloudDeakin or emailing content to students.
