Library Search is one of the most important and well-used tools in the library \u2013 a critical resource for students, academics and researchers throughout the University. We are excited to launch our new search experience next week on Tuesday 24 October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So, what has changed and what do you need to know?<\/p>\n

On the library homepage, you will see that the main search bar looks the same. You still have easy access to links for advanced search, catalogue, resource guides and more. The changes will show up once you’ve started your search<\/strong>. \u00a0Type your keywords and click on the magnifying glass icon or press Enter on your keyboard.<\/p>\n

This will bring up a list of results. Depending on your keyword terms, you might not find exactly what you need without filtering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you need to, you can broaden or narrow your search. Commonly used filters like online full text, peer-reviewed and date<\/strong> are under the search box. Select the \u2018All Filters\u2019<\/strong> button beneath the search bar to open the panel on the right-hand side of the screen. Any current filters you have applied will display at the top of the panel.<\/p>\n

To learn more about a resource, click on the title. Once you have clicked on a resource, you are able to save, cite, add to project, share or download<\/strong> from there. You will also see a button offering you options for how to access the resource<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can also view and organise your saved resources<\/strong> from your dashboard, which is connected to your Deakin login.<\/p>\n
