Among other things, the software can import sources from databases and comes with many referencing styles. It is the perfect tool for extensive research projects or literature reviews.<\/p>\n<p>The library recommends EndNote for researchers, HDR students and research administrators. If you are an undergraduate, we strongly recommend you start by reviewing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deakin.edu.au\/students\/studying\/study-support\/referencing\">Deakin Guide to Referencing<\/a>.\u00a0It will save you a lot of time to learn how to reference before attempting to use reference management software.<\/p>\n<h2>EndNote is available to students, researchers and staff<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Students can access it from the <a href=\"https:\/\/software.deakin.edu.au\/2021\/08\/13\/endnote\/\">Deakin Software Library<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Staff can access it from the Self Service\/Software Centre on their Deakin-managed computers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ways to use EndNote<\/h2>\n<p>Here are some ways you can use EndNote:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Building and organising your reference library \u2013 import references directly from library databases, manually add sources, and organise into folders by topic, project, or chapter with tags and annotations<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Streamlining the citation process \u2013 insert citations directly into Word or Google Docs, automatically generate formatted bibliographies, and switch between referencing styles (Harvard, APA, Chicago) instantly<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Collaborating with others \u2013 share reference libraries with research team members to avoid duplication on group projects<\/li>\n<li dir=\"auto\">Managing large-scale research \u2013 handle hundreds or thousands of references, search and filter quickly, and identify duplicate entries to keep your database clean<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you think EndNote is right for you, check out the library\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deakin.libguides.com\/c.php?g=558298&amp;p=3839348\"><strong>EndNote guide<\/strong><\/a>.
