Where to go if you need IT help

From searching the library website for resources to completing your online assessments, we know technology is central to your university experience. We also know that there’s few things more frustrating than when you can’t get your technology to work the way you want it to! That’s why we’ve teamed up with Deakin’s IT Help staff to create this useful guide to tackling some of the most common tech issues on campus.

Set yourself up for success

There are a few different steps you need to take to set up your digital essentials at Deakin. These include:

If you’re having trouble with any of the above, you can also schedule an appointment with our IT Help staff on campus for hands on assistance.

Online exams and assessments

Tech problems when you’ve got an online assessment task are the worst, especially if you don’t have time to waste. The IT Help Exams and Assessments guide has troubleshooting options and answers to FAQs about common platforms like CloudDeakin and Proctorio.

You can use the IT Help portal to:

If it’s urgent you can also contact IT Help staff by calling 1800 463 888 (or +61 3 5227 8888 if you’re overseas). They’re open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and from 11am to 5pm over the weekend.

We hope you find this information and the links provided useful. Our friendly library staff are always here to help, but we aren’t the IT gurus! So if you’re struggling with a technology issue you just can’t figure out, the IT Help team are your best point of contact.
