Share your ideas to help us improve the library and receive a $50 gift voucher
Deakin Library is the heart of the University. We’re located at the centre of each campus, providing a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all students, and we are dedicated to helping you succeed in your studies.
While we are all itching to get back among the stacks and quiet study spaces, we also know that Deakin’s library is more than just a physical space on campus. The challenges of the last two years have made the importance of digital resources and services clearer than ever.
So, we are asking: What do you love about the Deakin University Library? How do you find it easiest to engage with library services? If you don’t use the library regularly, why not? Where do you think we can improve?
The library is re-writing our strategic plan and we want to hear from you!
Will you help us shape your future library?
We are seeking 100 students from diverse backgrounds and study levels, who are willing to share their perspectives and advice. This will help us plan for the future, improve our library and continue to offer resources and support services designed to help you get the most from your learning journey.
To participate, we will match you with a library staff member who will guide you through a series of conversation topics and activities. The session will be one hour, held online via Zoom. We know your time and feedback is valuable, so you will receive a $50 gift voucher for your contribution!
How to get involved
If you would like to participate, please fill out this form to express your interest. You will then be contacted by the library team to confirm your participation. Please note, we will select students based on diversity to ensure we hear from a range of cohorts.
This project has been approved by Deakin ethics (HAE-21-166). All data will be anonymous, and you will not be audio or video recorded. However, staff will take notes on your responses.
Help us to shape the future of your library, so we can continue to provide the best support for you and your fellow students.
