Putting a face on the library: the Meet your Librarian display
In March 2019, the library’s Digital Experience team launched a revitalised display showcase featuring three faculty Liaison Librarians and the entire Research Services team in a campaign called Meet your Librarian.
Coinciding with the five-screen digital showcase at Waterfront and the single-screen displays at Burwood, Warrnambool and Waurn Ponds, the library also published a series of blogs that expanded the information highlighted on these displays.
Why this campaign?
Deakin students and staff in any position are encouraged to contact their faculty’s Liaison Librarians with queries related to their studies or lectures. Meet your Librarian is a great way for everyone in Deakin to learn the names and faces of their librarians, get some wonderful advice on their favourite resources and find out a few fun bits of information, such as their favourite quote or a recent book they enjoyed reading.
Why multiple formats?
By sharing this campaign across campus library digital displays, social media posts and blogs, we help as many students and staff as possible see the information, regardless of which campus they belong to.
What’s next?
Early in Trimester 2 of 2019, a new series of Meet your Librarian displays and blogs will be released, introducing even more of our Liaison Librarians across Burwood, Warrnambool and Waurn Ponds campuses.
